DDR Memory Buffer

DDR memory buffer is the main difference between ASI “Cool” and “Pro” cameras.

ASI1600 Pro camera includes one 256MB DDR3 memory buffer to help data transfer more stable and no amp-glow issue which is caused by the slow speed data transfer during reading out under USB2.0 Port.

Astrophotography Performance

ASI1600 Pro offers very good performance for astrophotography. Low read noise, Low dark current, high dynamic range .

ASI1600 build in 12bit ADC but can provide 12.5 stops dynamic range which is even better than KAF8300 dew to its super low read noise.

QE Graph

We suppose the QE peak value is more than 60%.

here is a 300S dark frame tested with the cooler running at -25 degree.

Reliable Mechanical Structures

ASI1600 Pro using are 4 screws seal the chamber. This structure has been fully tested and is very stable.

Even under high humidity eviroment, ASI1600 Pro still works fine and won’t have dew problems.

USB 3.0 Port & USB2.0 HUB

USB 3.0 Port: Provide 5Gb bandwidth to make it possible for ASI1600 Pro to run at 14.7 fps (12bit, normal mode) or 19 fps (23bit, high speed mode) at full resolution(11.7Mega).

We recommends 12V at 3A~5A or more DC adapter for cooler power supply(2.1*5.5, center positive).

Battery from 9-15V is also suitable for cooling power supply.

USB 2.0 HUB: can connect with various accessories, such as filter wheel, guide camera and electronic focuser, so you can manage your cable better with USB2.0 hub. There are 2 short 0.5m USB2.0 cables coming with ASI1600 Pro. The power of hub source from external power supply if you connect it.

Cooling System

ASI1600 Pro has 2 stage TEC cooling system to enable very deep cooling (-40℃ below ambient). you need external power supply to power on the cooler. AC-DC power adapter is not included in this package, you can order from here.

Shipping

Update of logistics information：
Due to the incompatibility of post office networks in many countries, in a long period, logistics information won’t be updated for parcels exported via ePacket/China Post Registered Air Mail/EMS before the arrival of destination country.

Delivery efficiency:
It will take around 60-90days for shipment via ePacket/China Post Registered Air Mail/EMS, which can’t be guaranteed due to force majeure.
If you need the parcel urgently/in a short time, other fast shipping except for EMS would be highly recommended.

Tax

• The price list on our website is USD without tax
• Please note that buyers are liable to pay tax involved, such as Import tax, VAT , customs handling fee, etc. The additional fees may be collected at time of delivery by courier.
• For best local service we advise customers buy our cameras from local dealers.

Warranty and Return Policy

• We provide 2-year warranty for our products, we will offer the repair service for free within warranty period. After the warranty period, we will continue to provide repair support and service on a charged basis. We do not provide any replacement unless ZWO confirmed the product is DOA (Dead On Arrival).
• This warranty does not apply to damage that occurred as a result of abuse or misuse, or caused by a fall or any other transportation failures after purchase.
• Customer must pay for shipping when shipping the camera back for repair or replacement. If we confirm you can get a replacement, goods must be returned with all accessories, instructions, etc and must be suitably packed.
• If you get a faulty camera, please contact us as soon as possible though email. Please describe the problem in detail and we will do our best to help you solve the problem. Most instances perceived problems are simply bad driver install or software configuration.
• For customers who bought the camera from our dealer, dealer is responsible for the customer service for you.
